Programs for High School Students

The Loyola Institute

Investing in a Catholic education has always been a sure thing, as learning in a faith-filled, academically challenging environment is certain to put a student on the path to success. As a long-time supporter of Catholic education – both on our own campus and throughout the Syracuse Diocese – Le Moyne College has developed a unique program to allow students at Bishop Ludden Junior-Senior High School, Bishop Grimes Junior-Senior High School and Christian Brothers Academy to experience the benefits of a Jesuit education and earn 12 college credits and up to $58,000(2) in college savings, while putting themselves on the fast track to higher education. Institute For Reading Development

The focus of the children’s reading programs, Levels R – 6, is to develop a love of reading.  Skill development that provides for increased fluency and comprehension is also emphasized.  The adult program, Level 7, improves reading efficiency.  To that end, eye-tracking exercises, retention techniques and systematic analytical approaches are taught.             Center for Continuing Education

Are you a working adult who would like to enhance your position at work by pursuing a degree or a certificate? Have you been away from school for a time and would like to return to start pursuing or to finish a degree? Are you a Veteran, or the dependent of a Veteran, who would like to begin to use your G.I. Bill educational benefits? Are you, or is your child, a high school student who would like to take college level courses?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you've come to the right place. Le Moyne's College's Center for Continuing Education offers:

Evening Degrees

To meet the Center for Continuing Education's goal of offering the opportunity to pursue life-long learning in the Jesuit tradition, the college recognizes that some adult learners can only attend evening classes because of the demands of career, family, and home. In addition to over 40 degree programs offered during the day, the following degree programs can be completed in the evening:

Creative Writing
Education - Teacher Certification
English Literature
Information Systems
Nursing
Psychology
Sociology

You are of course welcome to select a course of study from any one of
Le Moyne College's majors but for some, daytime course work may be required.

Certificate Programs

Certificate programs are offered in human resource management, pastoral ministry and information technology. Classes are offered in the evenings and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon to accommodate your work schedule. In addition, you can apply credits earned in a certificate program to a bachelor's degree at Le Moyne and most other colleges and universities. The program is typically completed in three to five semesters.
